Overview
At Outdoor Power we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our return policy carefully as terms vary by product type. As an authorized Stihl dealer and authorized RIPSAW dealer we are committed to standing behind every product we sell.
Stihl Equipment — 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
As an authorized Stihl dealer Outdoor Power honors Stihl's Seven (7) Day Customer Satisfaction Guarantee on select Stihl products.
Eligibility:
- You have 7 consecutive days from the original purchase date to request a return or exchange on eligible Stihl serialized products
- Non-serialized Stihl products also qualify for a 7-day return window
- Item must be in new, fully functional, and undamaged condition
- Item must be in original box including all packing materials, manuals, and accessories
- For gas products — fuel must never have been put into the tank even if drained
Return Shipping:
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges except when returning products due to damage or defects
- We strongly encourage shipping returns with a carrier that provides tracking and insurance
- Outdoor Power cannot issue refunds for packages lost during return shipment if proof of delivery is unavailable
- For damaged or defective product returns Outdoor Power will provide return shipping labels
Shipping and Handling Charges:
- Shipping and handling charges are only refundable if the product was shipped in error by Outdoor Power or if a damaged product receives a full refund
- Otherwise shipping and handling charges are non-refundable
Partial Refunds: We regret there are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted including:
- Product not in its original condition
- Product damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- All returns are subject to inspection to identify possible use, misuse, missing components, damage or abuse
- Refunds may be denied or only partial credit given due to failure to pass return inspection
Timing of Approved Refunds:
- Please allow approximately 7-10 business days from the date we receive the product for your refund to be credited to the original payment method
Stihl Equipment — Non-Returnable Products
The following Stihl products are not eligible for return:
- TS and TSA cut-off machines
- GS concrete cutters
- Pressure washers
- Stihl Zero-Turn Mowers
- Robotic lawn mowers
- SG and SGA sprayers
- RM and RMA push mowers
General Accessories & Parts — 30-Day Return Policy
For Stihl non-serialized products including accessories, chains, and parts we offer a 30-day return policy.
To be eligible:
- Item must be brand new and unused
- Item must be in original packaging
- Proof of purchase is required
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
Ported Chainsaws — Final Sale
All ported chainsaws are custom-built products and are not eligible for return or refund due to the nature of the build process. We do not resell used custom-built equipment.
Cancellations
Ported Chainsaws: Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase by contacting us at support@shopoutdoorpower.com. If approved:
- A full refund will be issued minus transaction processing fees
After 24 hours all ported chainsaw sales are final and production will proceed. Outdoor Power reserves the right to approve cancellations on a case-by-case basis. Approved cancellations may include:
- Deduction of payment processing fees
- A minimum 20% restocking fee
Stihl Equipment: Contact us immediately at support@shopoutdoorpower.com if you need to cancel a Stihl equipment order. We will do our best to accommodate cancellation requests before your order ships. Once an order has shipped it cannot be cancelled and must go through the standard return process.
All Other Products: Cancellation requests must be made before your order is processed and shipped. Contact us as soon as possible at support@shopoutdoorpower.com.
Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on:
- Ported chainsaws
- Non-returnable Stihl products listed above
- Sale items
- Gift cards

Please include your order number and reason for return. Returns must be authorized prior to shipment. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Refunds
We will notify you once your return is received and inspected. If approved:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Transaction fees and non-refundable shipping costs will be deducted where applicable
- Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for your refund to be processed
- Bank processing times may vary
Limited Warranty — Ported Chainsaws
All ported chainsaws include a 90-day limited warranty covering port work only.
This warranty covers:
- Defects directly related to the port work performed
- Missed quality control issues
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by operation or misuse
- Improper handling
- Modifications made after delivery
- Normal wear and tear
Customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways for warranty service. Outdoor Power reserves the right to repair, replace, or cancel and refund at its discretion. To initiate a warranty claim contact us at support@shopoutdoorpower.com with your order number and full details.
